We had the remainder of the Spicy Chicken Casserole from the night before (see 10th September). The flavours were more intense and we did not have any more off-dry whites to go with it. We thought we’d risk a bottle of Montana Reserve Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2010 from Costco. We find this wine to be quite versatile to match with spicy foods. At first, we were not sure it would work, but it just got better and better with every sip. Lemony citrus flavours, tinged with grapefruit and a lovely tingly sensation at the back of the throat. Great match and so moreish with this recipe.
