Spanish Tempranillo a Pleasant Match with Chicken Chasseur

We had Poulet Sauté au Chasseur (Hunter’s Chicken) from Supercook and decided on a bottle of Vega Oliveras Tempranillo 2009 from Sunday Times Wine Club.  A Tempranillo from Castilla VdT in Spain.  Flavours of strawberries, cherries and plums, layered with toasty vanilla oak, with a spicy aftertaste.  Smooth and easy drinking with the chicken.
