Another Great Italian Wine and Food Match

We had the remainder of the Meatballs in Tomato Sauce from the previous evening (see 22 June) and stuck with an Italian red.  This time we opened a bottle of Nespolino 2009 from Sunday Times Wine Club.  This is a Sangiovese from Rubicone and is considered to be on a par with a decent Chianti.  As with the Il Paparevo the previous evening,  it was full of cherry fruit and good acidity that made it an equally good match with the Meatballs and Spaghetti.
