A Rioja-Like Red Lovely with Slow-Cooked Irish Stew

We ate Irish Stew done in the slow cooker and drank with it a bottle of Posada del Rey from Sunday Times Wine Club.   The wine is a non-vintage Spanish red that is very Rioja-like.  The grape is Tempranillo and the wine has juicy redcurrant, plum and black cherry flavours and is very smooth. A lovely match with the lamb, not too overpowering.
