We ate traditional Roast Pork for a family meal and we have read that Pinot Noir can be a good match. We tried a bottle of Hurtado Reserva Pinot Noir 2008, a Chilean Red from Sunday Times Wine Club. By coincidence we had drank an Alfredo Hurtado wine yesterday from Tesco. Sunday Times point out that Hurtado is a legend and has won Winemaker of the Year three times. He obviously likes emulating Burgundy classics, because apparently he has produced this wine in similar terroir. A hugely enjoyable medium-bodied and smooth wine that went well with the pork, but I believe there are better matches.
