We had an old favourite tonight from Supercook. Daube de Mouton (Lamb Stew with Mushrooms & Tomatoes). We selected a bottle of Solar de Coteba 2008 from Sunday Times Wine Club. This is a Spanish red, unusually mainly Cabernet Sauvignon with a little Tempranillo. The smooth blackcurranty flavours of the wine went perfectly with the lamb in its thick rich tomatoey sauce.
